Welcome to our Cordata Community Garden
Thank you for your interest in the Cordata Community Garden. Since 2009, we
have been pleased to provide a place for Cordata neighbors to plant and harvest
organic fruits and vegetables.
We are proud of our garden and gardeners. In addition to growing organic
produce for their families, our gardeners have donated over 500 pounds of food
each year to the Bellingham Food Bank and to Domestic Violence and Sexual
Assault Services. We are very appreciative of the support we receive from our
community.
Our growing season runs from April to October each year with Registration, Rules
and orientation taking place in March each year.
Our garden consists of 54 raised
garden plots 12 inches high, 4 feet wide and 16 feet long and rent for $45.00,
except for our two modified plots which are 3 feet high, 4 feet wide and 8 feet
long and rent for $25.00 each. Anyone interested in signing up for our Cordata
Community Garden can do so at [email protected] . Please provide
your name, phone number and email address. In February of each year, you will
receive a registration and rules document to be filled out and mailed in with your
check.
The community garden supplies the following.
Deer Fence – Totally Enclosed 14,500 square foot area. Secured Gate Access. Tool
Shed- Fully equipped with the following tools, shovels, rakes, hoes, and wheel
barrels. Water, hoses, watering nozzles and barrels are furnished at the hydrants.
Each gardener is required to sign up for a job to help maintain the common areas
of the Garden. Everyone needs to provide their own small hand tools and gloves.
We look forward to working with community gardeners for our 2022-2023.
